    • Led Customer Value and Proposal Effectiveness project:  Dell’s IT Outsourcing business was experiencing a decrease in win rates on proposals to customers.  Conducted comprehensive analysis on all aspects of the proposals and formulated / implemented new methods and processes for sustainable improvement.  Resulted in new understanding of customer values and doubling of pursuit win rates.
    • Defined Global Planning & Budgeting approach:  Developed new approach with standard processes, tools and definitions. Initially developed and implemented for Dell Services, following year implemented and for Dell Inc. strategic planning. Reduced annual cycle time over 50% with improved quality.
    • Developed Growth Strategy:

      Led development of Dell Services’ five-year growth strategy to achieve aspirational goals of doubling revenue in five years (5x industry growth rate). Collaborated with leaders of each customer segment, geography and service area to define strategic priorities, investment plans and annual revenue and margin goals, then facilitated integration with Dell Inc. plans.

    • Executive Director – Strategy: Appointed to direct development of the initial global services strategy for $8B division, after Dell’s acquisition of Perot Systems.
    • Perot Systems – Director, Business Consulting:  Overall leadership and accountability for the global Business Design and Operations Effectiveness practice.
    • President – Dabraad, Inc.:

      Created company from scratch.  Determined there was an unfulfilled niche in the decorative lawn & garden products category.  Founded a corporation, developed business strategy, prepared start-up budget / financial plans, and led product development process & launches.  Developed to $1MM in annual sales and sold company.

    • CIO for a start-up industry market exchange

    • For a manufacturer of precision machine tools, led the effort to restructure the company to restore profitability, after the worldwide demand for their products dropped by more than 50%.

    • Vice President – Supply Chain:  State Industrial Products, a $120MM international provider of specialty chemical and maintenance products.
    • For a “Top 10” worldwide client, appointed as QA Partner to oversee and ensure quality and success of the global roll-out of new systems and processes for global spare parts fulfillment.

    • Joint Venture creation: For a global joint venture created to manufacture and distribute forklift trucks, led the definition, design, development, implementation  and worldwide roll-out of systems and related processes for nearly all functions of the new company.
    • Andersen Consulting – Taipei: Selected as one of six U.S.-based managers to participate in an organized program to transfer skills to Andersen Consulting’s emerging Asia/ Pacific practice offices.
    • Winner of CompterWorld Smithsonian Award for innovative use of Artificial Intelligence in a manufacturing application.
    • For an Asian Beer Brewer and Distributor, reviewed  and critiqued physical distribution planning, scheduling, control and systems policies and procedures, as well as the costs of the existing physical distribution channels.  Formulated a physical distribution strategy (since implemented) to sustain a leading-edge logistics competitive position.

  • Director, MeadowLarkAdvisors, 2017 to Present.  Turnaround and Restructuring firm.  Restructuring and Financial Advisory engagements including healthcare services, healthcare products, hospitality, retail and oil-field services industries.

    Managing Director, Principia21, LLC, 2011 to Present.  Founded consulting firm focused on Operations Strategy and Performance Improvement.  Developed all intellectual property and lead all assignments.  Engagement industries include healthcare services, healthcare products, hospitality, consumer products and oil-field services.

    Executive Director, Strategy & Planning, Dell Inc., 2010 to 2011.  Directed the global services strategy including identifying strategic imperatives and key business goals for $8B division of Dell.  Guided competitive landscape analysis and thought leadership.  Improved annual budgeting & planning cycle by 50%  with higher quality, as measured by understanding and buy-in of performance targets.

    Director, Business Consulting, Dell Services, 2007 to 2010.  Overall accountability for the global Business Design and Operations Effectiveness practice. Directed consulting assignments, prepared and presented business development presentations and proposals, and contributed to the firm’s intellectual capital. 

    Founder and Managing Director, Dabraad Associates, 2002 to 2007. Initially developed Garden League® brand of lawn & garden products.  Then, transitioned to consulting firm helping companies execute business transitions, including merger & acquisition integrations, spin-offs, and meeting the requirements of rapid growth.

    Partner, Oliver Wyman, 1998 to 2002.  One of the world’s preeminent strategy consultancies, which at the time had approximately 1,500 consultants in 21 offices across four continents.  Personal engagements in software, computer hardware & service, transportation and  industrial equipment industries.

    Vice President, Supply Chain, State Industrial Products. 1996-1998.  Directed all supply chain management activities, including inventory and distribution management, sourcing, purchasing, and product data management. Improved service fill rates from 92% to 97% and simultaneously decreased finished goods inventory investment by 43%.

    Staff thru Associate Partner, Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).  1982 – 1996.  Progressed from Staff Associate to Associate Partner. Primary focus was in the Supply Chain Management, Distribution/ Logistics and Customer Service functions, and included extensive experience with Business Process Reengineering, Business and Technology Strategy Planning, as well as Systems Design and Implementation. Clients included several long-term relationships with clients in the Industrial Products as well as Consumer Products industries, throughout the U.S., Asia and Europe.
